Tape libraries, entry-level Quantum Scalar i40 and i80, are easy to use and designed to meet the growing needs of small businesses and remote offices of large enterprises in automated tape storage data. Quantum Scalar i40 supports up to two drives LTO-5 HH with a host interface, 6Gb SAS, and offers 25 slots, expandable to 40, in the case of the form factor 3U. Quantum Scalar i80 supports up to five drives and offers 50 slots, expandable to 80, in the case 6U form factor.
Quantum LTO Ultrium cartridges have a capacity of 5 to 3 terabytes, data transfer rates up to 280 MB / s ( with 2:1 compression), allowing you to significantly reduce the number of tapes and data transfer time. With built- in media drive 256- bit AES encryption technology and WORM, tape solutions Quantum LTO Ultrium 5 meet the most stringent safety requirements and compatibility.
